Qube SQUHT High Temperature Centrifugal Box Fan
The Qube SQUHT is a high temperature centrifugal box fan built for commercial plus industrial ducted ventilation where the airstream can run hot. It is designed for in duct ambient temperatures from minus 20°C up to plus 120°C and it keeps the familiar Qube format so installation stays practical even in tight plant areas.
What makes the SQUHT different
- High temperature duty: designed for in duct ambient temperatures up to 120°C
- Flexible airflow direction: rearrangeable panels let you set straight through airflow or a 90 degree discharge to suit your duct route
- Installer friendly access: removable panel arrangement fixed to multi thread U nuts, ideal when frequent cleaning is required
- Mounting flexibility: the fan can be mounted at any angle provided it is adequately supported
- Maintenance minded design: bearings are sealed for life with an inspection cycle recommended at least once every 12 months
Where it is typically used
The SQUHT is suited to high temperature extract and process ventilation where a standard box fan is not appropriate. Confirm duty conditions and installation requirements during specification, particularly where frequent cleaning access is needed.
Important installation notes
- Isolation: isolate the fan from the power supply during installation plus maintenance
- Correct rotation matters: airflow direction can appear correct even if rotation is wrong, so rotation must be verified at start up
- High temperature warning: bulkhead plus pentapost frame components may get hot during operation at higher temperatures
- Not for hazardous atmospheres: not suitable for corrosive or explosive atmospheres
Quick maintenance overview
A yearly inspection is recommended to keep the motor, fan blades and guards clean. Any dust build up should be removed using a non abrasive cleaner and fastenings should be checked for tightness.
