Elta Revolution SLCX ATEX Long Cased Axial Flow Fan
The Elta Revolution SLCX is an ATEX rated long cased axial fan for duct mounted extract or supply where hazardous area compliance is required. It is built in heavy gauge steel with an anti static impeller design plus a protection rating of Ex h IIB+H2 T4 Gb for specified hazardous area duties.
What makes the SLCX the right fit for hazardous area ventilation
- ATEX rated construction: designed to meet the requirements of the 2014/34/EU directive with classification to Ex h IIB+H2 T4 Gb
- Anti static impeller blades: carbon filled anti static blade material for hazardous area duties
- Robust long cased build: heavy gauge mild steel casing roll formed plus welded then dip galvanised after fabrication
- Adjustable pitch impeller: aerofoil impeller design with factory set blade angle to deliver maximum performance for the selected model
- Installer practical wiring access: external terminal box with IP55 protection for straightforward connection access

Important installation notes
- Zone suitability: the unit is not suitable for Zone 0 use
- Ambient conditions: designed for ambient temperature from -20°C to +40°C
- Mounting: can be mounted at any angle provided it is adequately supported plus accessible for future maintenance
- Start up checks: confirm impeller rotation plus airflow direction at initial start up
- Duct sealing: seal flanges properly to minimise leakage and maintain system performance
Accessories and specification add ons
Common accessories include AV mounts, bell mouth inlet, flanged silencers, flexible connections, impeller side guard, matching flanges plus mounting feet. Any controller used must be selected and installed in line with hazardous area requirements.
Selection tip
Confirm the hazardous area classification on site then match it to the ATEX code shown on the fan label plus the Certificate of Conformity. Once compliance is confirmed, select the correct size using airflow plus static pressure at your duty point from the performance data.
